How do I list my car?

Listing your car on dryve is a simple 3 step process. All you need to do is enter your car details, upload pictures of your car, and lastly upload scans of your car license for verification.

How long does it take you to verify my car?

Verification usually takes up to 12 hours.

How many cars can I list?

You can list as many cars as you want!

Is there a set minimum or maximum period I must rent my car out for?

You can rent out your car for as long as you want but for a minimum of 2 days.

How much notice am I given between a request and a trip start date?

You can choose to receive requests for same day trips, or requests with at least a day's notice before the start of the trip.

How long do I have to respond to a request?

You have 12 hours to respond to a request. dryvers can send up to 5 booking requests for the same dates at the same time. If another owner accepts your dryver’s request first, your request will be automatically canceled so make sure you respond fast!

What are my legal guarantees when I rent my car on dryve?

At the beginning of each trip, before handing your car keys and license to your dryver, you will have in your possession: - A Deposit of Trust signed by your dryver - Rental Agreement signed by both parties These documents will remain in your possession until you receive your car keys and license back. To further guarantee your security, to access and use the app, all users must agree to and electronically approve the terms and conditions, which are legally binding contracts under the Egyptian Law.

Who provides the necessary legal contracts to be used during rentals?

"dryve provides its users with all the necessary legal contracts to use during rentals to ensure a fair and secure rental process between owners and dryvers. This guarantees a non-discriminatory legal agreement between users. For your safety and security, users are obligated to use the legal contracts as provided by dryve and abide by its instructions of use. Are there any restrictions on the number of kilometers that can be used during a trip?

Yes! The total daily rate includes up to 250 km per day. If the dryver exceeds the limit per trip, you will be reimbursed for every additional kilometer exceeded, calculated based on your daily rental rate.

Can I contact the dryver at any time during the trip period?

Yes, both you and your dryver will have access to each other’s contact details and will be able to contact one another throughout the rental period. You will also be able to contact our customer service at any time in case you need any assistance.

Does my dryver have to return the car with the same fuel levels as pick-up?

Yes, he does. However, if the fuel levels at drop-off are lower than they were at pick-up, you will receive EGP 8 for every unfilled liter.

Who is responsible for traffic fines incurred during a trip?

dryvers are responsible for any traffic fines incurred during a trip. All that is required is the submission of copies of any traffic fines incurred within 90 days of the drop-off date.

When and how do I receive my earnings?

As soon as you accept the pick-up inspection form and hand over your keys to the dryver, you will receive a notification that your money is ready for collection in cash at any Fawry outlet. Once there, you need to provide the Fawry representative with your registered mobile number, you will then receive a one-time password (“OTP”) via SMS which you will need to give to the representative to instantly withdraw your funds in cash.

Does my car have to be inspected at Nacita?

No, you can list a car without a Nacita inspection. However, note that the inspection only needs to be done once and the process should take no more than 15 minutes! Carrying out a Nacita verified inspection increases the likelihood of your car being rented out.

Is the insurance policy optional?

No, insurance is mandatory to ensure your car’s safety throughout any dryve trip.

How do I choose my car?

To help you find your ideal car, you can filter your search based on your location, dryve category and car specifications.

What does the green tick mark on listed cars mean?

Cars with a green tick mark have been inspected and verified by Nacita. Uber Partner drivers will be able to download the Nacita inspection report from the dryve app to upload onto the Uber app as soon as your owner accepts your request and you make total payment for your trip through Fawry.

How many requests can I make at the same time?

At any given time, you can make a maximum of 3 requests for the same rental period. Once the first owner approves your request all remaining requests are automatically cancelled.

How much time will it take to get a response to a booking request I make?

Car owners will have up to 12 hours to respond to booking requests, but most usually do so before then. Additionally, you will be able to make up to 3 requests at the same time for the same dates and this will higher your chances of a faster booking process.

What legal contracts do I have to sign as guarantee when renting a car?

Before receiving the car keys and license, you will have to sign the following legal documents as supplied by dryve: - One copy of the Deposit of Trust - Two copies of the Rental Agreement

What guarantees my legal rights when the rental period ends?

Before returning the car keys and license to the owner at the end of the trip, you should receive: - The deposit of trust you signed at pick-up - One signed copy of the rental agreement after the owner has signed the attached release form.

How much mileage does my daily rental rate include?

Your daily rental rate includes up to 250 km per day. If you exceed the limit for the trip, you will be charged an excess miles fee, which is calculated as a factor of the daily rental rate.

Can I monitor the time remaining for the rental?

Yes, you can monitor the number of days or hours left until the rental period is complete.

Can the car owner and I contact one another at any time during the trip period?

Yes, both you and the owner will have access to each other’s contact details. You can also contact our customer service at any time.

How much will I be charged if I return the car with lower fuel levels than it had at pick-up?

You will be charged EGP 8 for every unfilled fuel liter, in addition to an admin fee.

What happens if I’m late to drop-off?

For every day you are late, you will be charged the daily rental rate for each day as well as an additional 50% as a late fee.

How do I pay for any traffic fines incurred during my trip?

Traffic fines incurred will be reported by your owner and charged to your dryve balance. All payments related to dryve trips should be made directly with dryve, through any fawry retailer using your registered mobile number as a reference.

How do I pay for trips?

To pay for your trip, all you will need to do is head to your nearest Fawry branch and inform a representative that you would like to pay your “dryve Egypt” invoices. You will be asked to provide your registered mobile number for the representative to access your account. Then all you need to do is confirm the amount is correct and pay!

When do I need to make my payment for my trip?

You will have till 10 pm the day before picking up your car to pay the necessary amount. Your request will be cancelled automatically if you do not pay within the given time frame. As soon as your payment is processed, it will be instantly reflected on the app and you will be able to contact your owner to agree on the exact pick-up time and location.

When do I need to make payment of any drop-off charges?

You will need to make payment of any drop-off charges within 24 hours of the end of the trip. Please note that you will not be able to make any new bookings until you settle your outstanding balance.
